Raymond Weil
for
more than 25 years, RAYMOND WEIL has created
masterpieces of time, art and elegance which express
the creative desires of our times. RAYMOND WEIL
gathers inspiration from works of art and music,
cleverly embodying these premises with a passion
enviable amongst some of the best-known Swiss
watchmakers.
Since its founding by Raymond Weil in 1976,
this Geneva-based watch company has been an
enigmatic leader due to the creation, design and
color-intensive elements in its designs. Using
all that modern technology has to offer, RAYMOND
WEIL has never settled for anything less than
impeccable product quality.
Most of the RAYMOND WEIL collections draw their
inspiration from major musical works such as
Parsifal—the brand’s signature collection—Don
Giovanni and Othello. Each of these collections
reflects RAYMOND WEIL’s love for classical
music, the opera and the arts.
In 1982, the talented and passionate Raymond
Weil welcomed Olivier Bernheim into the family
business. Instrumental in opening new markets
and making structural and transitional changes
within the company, Bernheim is now president
and CEO of the company.
Since its inception, RAYMOND WEIL has produced
elegant and cutting-edge timepieces. In 1983,
RAYMOND WEIL launched the incredibly successful,
classically elegant Amadeus collection,
dedicated to Mozart. Several years later, the
bold Othello was introduced and in 1988, the
stunning color-stained-crystal Traviata watch
made its debut. Indeed, the Traviata timepieces
were so sophisticated and striking in their use
of color and style that RAYMOND WEIL was soon
recognized as a leader in technical and
aesthetic design.
RAYMOND WEIL unveiled the Parsifal collection of
steel and 18-karat gold watches in 1991. This
most celebrated collection continues to make its
mark as a true virtuoso. Valiant, powerful and
refined, the Parsifal is a timepiece of symmetry
and harmony.
Throughout the late 1980s and into the 1990s, RAYMOND WEIL grew
to be one of Switzerland’s most important watch influences.
Indeed, the vision of RAYMOND WEIL can be summed up in just a
few words: creation, innovation and evolution—each of which is a
permanent element in the brand’s professional code of ethics.
Adhering to a constant quest for perfection, RAYMOND WEIL
continually unveils impeccable works of craftsmanship and
beauty. Insistent that technical prowess remains supreme,
RAYMOND WEIL has harmoniously blended tradition and modernity,
technology and art into each timepiece.
One such exceptional collection is the Don
Giovanni series. Recently, RAYMOND WEIL launched
an unusual version of the Don Giovanni
chronograph watch and the new creation dominates
the collection with its extraordinary dimension
and splendid execution.
The daring Don Giovanni Cosi Grande watch is the
result of combined research into new ideas and
solutions in watchmaking. A phenomenal creation
of complexity in design and technical
aesthetics, the Don Giovanni Cosi Grande is a
mechanical chronograph with automatic winding.
Hand-assembled by RAYMOND WEIL’s finest
watchmakers, the chronograph includes the
traditional functions of start, stop, restart,
and return to zero, and offers a 30-minutes
counter and a 12-hours counters.
The Don Giovanni Cosi Grande watch is crafted in
steel and features a curved rectangular case of
extreme dimensions. It is 50mm long by 37.6mm
across and is fitted with a domed sapphire
crystal with antireflection treatment. Water
resistant to 30 meters, the watch features a
transparent caseback to view the mechanism. In
2001, RAYMOND WEIL gave the Othello collection—first unveiled to
the world in 1986—a stunning relaunch. The rebirth of Othello
captures the very essence of the innovative spirit of the brand.
With a calm and discreet design that emphasizes strength of
character and uncompromising beauty, Othello is equally daring
and mysterious.
The round, thin case features a slightly curved
sapphire crystal that charms and fascinates. The
depth of the dark blue dial bordered by a
midnight-blue bezel is tirelessly captivating,
and the two thin steel bars that stretch from
top to bottom across the sapphire crystal add
unparalleled depth and dimension.
Sophisticated and intriguing, the new Othello
collection is a profound expression of
individuality. In addition to the enticing
midnight-blue Othello, RAYMOND WEIL has also
unveiled two splendid new versions of the
Othello in 18-karat gold. Called the Othello OR
collection, the sleek watches are crafted in
either yellow or rose gold and in typical
Othello style feature two vertical bars of gold
sliced across the curved crystal of the watch—a
strikingly bold and innovative design.
The Othello OR Jaune line is crafted in 18-karat
yellow gold with a cognac dial. The bars are set
with 46 diamonds for scintillating effect. The
Othello OR Rose collection is crafted in
18-karat rose gold with a dial influenced by
burgundy reflections. These elegant watches
embody the pioneering and inventive design
spirit of the brand.

around “time to celebrate” for the Parsifal models; “time
to create” for the Othello collection; and “time to dream”
for the Don Giovanni series.
