Every Episode of 'South Park' to be Available Online for Free - Switched Skip to Content WoW players: we have all your patch 2.4 news!AOL Tech 繁體中文 简体中文 日本版 Español Switched HD Mobile Engadget Switched Switched Downloads Reviews Video Games Computers Cell Phones Car Tech Cameras Audio/Video Every Episode of 'South Park' to be Available Online for Freeby Terrence O'Brien, posted Dec 3rd 2007 at 10:39AM MTV Networks, the company behind MTV (obviously), VH1, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, CMT, Spike, and The N, has announced plans to offer every episode of 'South Park', ever, online, for free. Are you done dancing for joy yet? We'll wait. So here's the deal. SouthParkStudios.com, which currently hosts a small video clip collection as well as some downloadable extras, will include every clip of 'South Park' since its inception.Just a couple of months ago, 'The Daily Show' went digital with over 13,000 video clips at TheDailyShow.com. That test of the digital waters was very successful. It turned out that hosting the videos online didn't hurt the show's TV ratings. It also turns out that hosting episodes online actually helps shows increase viewership. Who would have guessed? Is MTV going to take this strategy to the rest of their stable of shows? Let's hope so, as there are many great shows sitting the company's vault ('The Maxx' anyone?).From Tech DigestRelated links: New 'Daily Show' Site Offers 13,000 Free Videos Watch Fox Repeats Free on iTunes NBC Will Offer TV Shows on Amazon Instead of iTunes PermalinkEmail this66 CommentsFiled under: Audio/Video, Computers, Celebrities, TVTags: comedy central, ComedyCentral, mtv, online, south park, SouthPark, videoRelevant Posts Move Over US, China Now Has the Most Internet Users (220M) (3 days ago - 0 Comments) Hands-On With New Flickr Video (15 days ago - 3 Comments) Cyber Goggles Could Help Find Your Keys (41 days ago - 41 Comments) Internet Limitations Rankle Cubans, Information Still Gets Around (23 days ago - 0 Comments) China Blocks YouTube Access Over Tibet Protest Videos (38 days ago - 2 Comments)Subscribe to these commentsReader Comments (Page 1 of 4) NeutralBen @ Dec 3rd 2007 2:38PMDitto's to the MAXX. This is all we need a bunch of potty mouthed freaks in cartoon form on the internet, FREE, as if our kids aren't bombarded with enough trash on regular t.v., but you have to consider the source, mtv is a trash network anyway. Nickelodeon is a children's network. This is disturbing news. This is just one more reason for me to not get satellite or cable tv.Reply Neutralp @ Dec 3rd 2007 3:47PMSOUTH PARK WAS CREATED AS PART OF A HARRASSMENT CAMPAIGN. IT IS VERY MUCH CONNECTED TO THE JEWISH TERRORIST GROUPS SUCH AS JDL, MOSSAD ETC,,, ...THE CHARACTER CARTMAN WASNT BASED ON A CHILHOOD BULLY FROM COLORADO BUT A LAW STUDENT HO SPOKE OUT AGAINST ISRAEL. South Park is bad entertainment. There is nothing worse than watching children use bad language. This is one TV series that should have been banned by the Moral Majority. Why is it that we can get garbage for free but we have to pay for good, wholesome programs. Who is the moron who is funding this kind of crap?Reply NeutralBRS @ Dec 3rd 2007 4:00PMtracie try to expell some of that bad gas, you'd probably start to feel better by morning!!!!Reply NeutralBRS @ Dec 3rd 2007 4:03PMAnn........suck my b@ll$!!!! Get real! If you don't like it, don't watch it. But, for those of us who think it is hysterical, let us enjoy it. No, it is not for little kids, but I teach 7th and 8th graders and they use worse language than what you see/hear on this show. Reply NeutralMass Ignorance @ Dec 3rd 2007 4:19PMHahaha, still amazed at the stupidity the internet subjects us to. Anyways, this is old news. Every episode of SP for "free" has been online for a long time now.. Reply NeutralBekki @ Dec 3rd 2007 4:26PMTracie, youre an idiotReply Neutralwunderhund productions @ Dec 3rd 2007 4:50PMFree South Park -- That's great news for anyone with a sense of humor.Need a laugh? Watch the "Welcome to Heaven Michael Vick" video at:http://revver.com/watch/402418/welcome-to-heaven-michael-vick/Reply NeutralJustinOpinion @ Dec 3rd 2007 4:57PMHey Tracie LIGHTEN UP! If you don't want your children watching certain shows.....here's an idea...MONITOR what they watch! Get with it! You can block out anything that's on cable TV with "parental controls" and if you're children are that young then they shouldn't be on the internet unsupervised anyway! OH, and here's a clue....SOUTH PARK is for adults, not children in the first place. But hey, I would think that if your kids are on the internet unsupervised, they've been exposed (pardon the pun) to A LOT worse than South Park. You're probably one of those people that object to porn and don't think that ANYONE should watch it, just because YOU don't like it. Two words for ya...BILL OF RIGHTS and CONSTITUTION. Maybe you and George Bush need to brush up on them.
